DISTRIBUTOR INFORMATION
RENNER'S CORNER
Notes on Model B distributors:
See diagram BELOW for assembly notes also.
Oil every 200-500 miles
with 2 drops of a light weight oil like 3-in-1 oil.
From new the oil hole from the oiler cap
on the side of the distributor were
not drilled thru the upper bushing.
This causes the shaft to wear and wobble.
The wobbling shaft will lead
to poor timing and distributor damage.
note that the upper bushing is
recessed into the casting about 1/8"
A distributor cam screw
with a hole down the middle
should be installed to
allow oiling the weight assemble.
If you don't already have A NU-REX timing wrench GET ONE
it makes timing the model A & B a snap and timing is critical!
